In March of 2006, I had the privilege of bringing my organization’s leading life insurance producers and their spouses to Ireland. The incentive trip dates were March 25 through March 31 and included stops and stays in Dublin and Killarney.

As you might imagine, I was faced with several options when it came to selecting a company that would manage the logistics, planning, movement and entertainment of my group. Bringing nearly 600 people to Europe is a daunting task, and I searched for a group that inspired confidence and exhibited the knowledge necessary to get the job done. At the end of the process, I selected the people at Carr Golf, ably represented by Chairman Marty Carr and Marc Dunbar. I have never – not for a single moment – regretted that decision.

The staff assigned by Carr Golf to accompany us in our travels and attend to our needs while in Ireland was superior to any that I have encountered in over 30 years of managing incentive awards. From my planning visit through to the actual trip, everything I expected was delivered… and more. No request that I made (and I am a very demanding person) was ever met with anything other than a promise to get the job done. A fine organization led by fine people who do superb work.

Should I return to Ireland again, there would not be a single moment’s hesitation in choosing to place my award winners in the hands of the folks at Carr Golf. That is indeed the highest compliment I can pay them. In fact, when I return – no matter the location – I will check with Carr Golf first!

Dear Marty,

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Carr Corporate Events for all your help and support over the last couple of years leading up to and during the Ryder Cup in Ireland. Catherine has been absolutely wonderful throughout and has always managed to make me feel like I am her only client even though I know that's not the case! I felt she always had our (UBS) best interests at heart and she has been unfailingly supportive and helpful.

It was a real pleasure to work with Sarah during the event. She made my job so much easier with her local knowledge, her enthusiasm and her unstinting support and nothing was ever too much trouble for her whatever the time of day – my clients had nothing but praise for her. She is such a hard worker and has a solution for everything. I don’t know what I would have done without her.

Marty and Cynthia,

Sam will contact you separately, but I wanted to say again, how terrific an experience it was this year to participate in the Father and Son. Doing as well as we did was a real added bonus, but as you know, the friendships, camaraderie, stories, pints and fun are at the essence of your great event.

Unmatched anywhere in the world is the great venue of Waterville too. We have played golf on most every continent at this stage and nothing comes close to Waterville and the Carr World Father and Son Invitational. Thanks for having us!

Needless to say, I am also inundated with requests from people to see if they can get into the tournament… success breading success. If you can give me some guidance on how I might handle those inquiries that would be great.

Dear Marty,

I apologize for the delay in this letter. I’ve been meaning to write and send this since I returned form Inverness, Scotland. To recap, I was the planner for a very senior level Citigroup Outing in Inverness, Scotland from July 21-28, 2004 and had the opportunity to work with Catherine Murphy from Carr Corporate Events.

During this week, clients, guests and Citigroup Directors played golf, participated in a variety of local activities and enjoyed the Scottish culture. This event was extremely important for the Citigroup Directors due to seniority of the clients and the business being conducted. All details had to be perfect to create the desired atmosphere. All details were perfect thanks to the assistance of Catherine Murphy. She was by my side the entire time from the planning stages until the final airport departure. She and I became a team, working together to create a very successful event.

I could count on Catherine for anything! She never said no and followed up on details before I asked. Everything she did was done to perfection. The clients and guests enjoyed Catherine and commented on how well she knew the area and the golf courses. Since this was the first trip to Scotland for many clients and guests they looked to Catherine for guidance and comfort.

The vendors Catherine hired for Transportation and tours were an excellent addition to the team. Everyone was professional, polite and extremely attentive. It was their goal, along with Catherine’s, to ensure all clients and guests had an excellent week. This goal was achieved with high marks. When I returned, I received rave reviews from many clients and the Citigroup Directors. They expressed their appreciation for a job well done. This credit must be shared with Catherine and her team because I could not have done it without them.

Catherine is a true professional and is a true asset to your organisation. I am looking forward to working with you and Catherine again in the near future.
